Family of Teenager Who Died on Qatar Airways Flight Files Negligence Lawsuit Over Faulty Medical Equipment

The complaint, filed in July 2026, alleges that airline staff explicitly assured the teenager and his father that a sandwich served onboard was safe for him to consume despite being informed of his severe allergies to peanuts, dairy, and fish. According to Ynetnews, the lawsuit further claims that once Jason began to suffer from anaphylactic shock, the aircraft’s emergency medical equipment—including an oxygen tank and an epinephrine injector—failed to function properly, directly contributing to his death. Perhaps most disturbingly, the report states that after Jason was believed to have died mid-flight, his body was left in his seat with a nonfunctional oxygen mask over his face for the remainder of the journey, situated directly behind his grieving father and sister.
